R.I.P. Edd Gould

I'm very sad to say that Edd Gould, creator of Eddsworld, passed away on Sunday, March 25th. His Leukemia was just too much. Edd was my inspiration to draw and animate. He will always have a place in my heart. When I found out that Edd had died, I cried for 13 hours. People stared at me at school but my friends were there for me. I hope that where ever Edd is now, he is happy, pain-free, and smiling down on us all. Here's the video Tom and Matt made to explain this better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkEvbOsr138
Even if you didn't know Edd, you should watch his videos. I'm sure that they'll make you laugh. Edd was brillant and always knew how to make people laugh. He never failed to impress me with his 'Eddisodes'. Rest in peace Edd, and treasure the good things in your life.

  4. Stealthy,
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. The fact that he touched you so much says what an amazing and inspiring individual he was. There are those rare souls out there who have the power to touch our lives and change us for the better and help us see ourselves in a wonderful light and help us to believe in ourselves. I know you are hurting and I wish I could take it away from you, but use his memory and what you learned from him to strengthen you and inspire you to continue on in what you learned to love through him. Your drawings are just amazing! What a wonderful gift you have.

  6. Dearest Stealthpath, I'm so sorry you've lost a friend. It's a most difficult thing to endure - the loss of someone you love and adore. You know in your heart that he is doing now what he has always dreamed of, free of pain, free of illness. This is how he will live on, in your heart and in your mind. I hope he continues to inspire you and your gift. Big hugs to you, my dear! -Anna.

  7. There aren't many people who leave such a legacy when they pass. You, yourself, are one of the greatest tributes to his memory, and what you've learned from him and how you apply it will help him live on. He would be happy about that, and proud of you. You give his life meaning. I know it hurts to lose him. I would be sad if nobody hurt for me when I'm gone. Thank goodness you'll always have a part of him with you. As your heart heals you'll be more able to embrace the smiles that come with his memory. I'm so sorry you're hurting now.

  12. Dear Stealthy, I am sorry to hear about your friend Edd. It sounds like he and his animations were special to you. Many years ago I lost a BF at this same time of year. The crabapple trees in my yard had beautiful blossoms on them and every year when I see the blossoms I think about my friend. I hope something will remind you of Edd and bring a smile to your face.
